    Book Club

I'm a big sucker for short story collections - I like the idea of instilling a thought provoking story in few pages, with some stories even forming a sort of arc regardless of not having the same character or even setting. I admit I'm not getting any reading done lately because... well...

    SEA people where you at

Oh it's very lively here, for better or worse. We remain a 3rd world country so yeah a bunch of people can only afford F2P gaming and cybercafes (also a dying culture) but the luckier ones like me love their PS4 and Switch (XBOX is a much smaller community but we manage) and there's a small but...

    [SPOILEROONI][TLOU2] Killing your darlings

I was thinking the same thing! I didn't really follow the hype or the leaks but I heard Abby and "controversial" so I thought they would hook up. So I played it and saw Dina so I was "oh, she gonna break up with her for Abby" then she got a golf club and I was "oh, she will fall for the enemy"...

    [SPOILEROONI][TLOU2] Killing your darlings

It's less likely, since she still does have beef, but it could be an interesting angle and character development on their part since they could think "OK, so Abby's severed ties with the wolves and Ellie has done the same with the few personal relationships she has left, and we still have the...

    Unpopular Opinion Thread

I feel you, I've spent about 50hours on it and felt that I was getting nowhere. I do still think it's a great game, one that I should get back on (maybe even restart) before the inevitable sequel comes, it's just not something I could just jump in and out of on a whim

    Let's write haiku!

I don't understand... So I am supposed to speak haiku in this thread?

    [SPOILEROONI][TLOU2] Killing your darlings

I actually thought she would die from it. There was a fast cut to Joel's beat-up face as she was seconds away from completely drowning Abby so most likely her motivations where on her mind at that moment. Perhaps the "lose the balls" phrase weren't the words I was looking for as had it happened...

    [SPOILEROONI][TLOU2] Killing your darlings

Come to think of it, Ellie actually still has no clue who Abby was (did she? There was the flashback but I don't remember Ellie learning about it). Would that change things? Maybe not so, Ellie seems more the person taken away by her emotions based on her actions the whole game compared to Abby.

    [SPOILEROONI][TLOU2] Killing your darlings

Oh no, I totally get it. The last part is banking on motivations instead of actually revealing plot points. And that mention of intetionally making the player feel tired was a reply from RiffRaff to me on a qpost (which made me curious and led me to this forum thread). Personally, I don't think...

[Game Jam] Announcing the Flaming Hot Jam!

I just signed up! I've been programming for 10+ years (in embedded and web development) and I've been meaning to learn game programming for a long while and I even got some materials for it (trainings and such) but never really got around to even starting it. Are people going solo or doing teams?

Hey mods, LastPass seems to be wrecking the login pop-up - the username/password fields disappear shortly after loading the page if you have a LastPass extension installed. Oh wait. I mean, hi.
