I'm still struggling too and I practice them every day. I struggle especially with angled ovals and egg shapes. I'm finding drawing a very light box in the angle I want and then drawing the oval or egg quarter by quarter helps a bit.
I'd be lying if I said a big part of wanting to learn to draw wasn't highly inspired my Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli films. This is my first attempt at Totoro. There will be many more, but I'm quite happy with how it came out (gotta make him a little chubbier next time). I also really want to learn how to do trees and botanicals now, but gotta just keep working the basics for now. Slowly but surely. If I can get good at drawing creatures and nature I'm sure all these scenes I got in my head can finally be realized. It's an incredibly exciting prospect for me

Nothing too interesting the past couple days as my homework is experimenting with different lines and pencil angles and stuff. Mainly just a bunch of scribbles.
