Two new books for my read list: Finding Ms. Write: Already mentioned it before: a collection of short stories from authors of lesbian romance about "book people" finding love through their passion for literature. As with any anthology, some stories are better than others. In the case of...

I know this is just the first book but how are you liking Frodo's storyline? I like the character in the film but I was curious as to how Tolkien developed him since, in theory, literature would allow for a deeper exploration of Frodo's inner battles.

Vice & Virtue - Mortal Kombat 11 fanfic

Oh, thank you! I hope you enjoy the reading :D It took me a while, yes (especially because of the long breaks I took haha) but also I didn't want to spend too much time on this, since it was just my first project and practising English was my main goal. There are 14 chapters but they're rather...

Vice & Virtue - Mortal Kombat 11 fanfic

So, after years of beating about the bush, meditating on possibilities and all that stuff, I finally wrote a fanfiction! As a writer, I thought it was important to focus on this project for two reasons: first, to practise working with established characters and worlds (even though I took some...

    Stupid Video Game Troupes

Yeah, I thought about Amnesia and Disco Elysium but I've never personally played them, so... I do think I have Dark Descent on my PS4 library though. Might give it a try one of these days!

The Gunslinger was the first Stephen King that I read haha I do have some of his novels on my to-read list but I don't know, it's not an author that I'm that excited to read.

I did enjoy The Gunslinger. Not as much as I expected, though (it was my very first Stephen King!). And some parts just seemed to drag and then that ending which was... weird, to say the least. It seems to be an intelligent story though, so it still has my cautious curiosity haha

I read the first Dark Tower a couple of months ago and... I cannot say it was the most enjoyable read I've had this year. I read a lot of people saying it gets better in the future, so I might still give the second chapter a go.

Haha no problem, that's a good reason for not having free time. I'll try to finish the two books I'm currently reading and then I post a mini-review for them!

    Stupid Video Game Troupes

I haven't played Paper Mario but yeah, you can totally make a good story out of an amnesia plot (can't think of any video game example right now but Christopher Nolan did quite a good job with his Amnesia). Now Chosen One... For me, it takes a really good writer to create a compelling storyline...

    Stupid Video Game Troupes

I'll have to mention two story tropes: Video games or not, the idea of the Chosen One always sends shivers down my spine. Amnesia is another that always makes me roll my eyes. It's not impossible to write a good story and include a character with amnesia but, let's be honest, in most cases...

Oh, I found your book club! :D I've been meaning to read Lord of the Rings for a while as well. I'll get there someday! I just finished this wonderful book called Shaken to the Core and fell in love with the author, Jae. One of the recommendations at the end of the book was Finding Ms Write, an...

Who/What is the most terrifying, BEST villain in fiction media?

One name that always comes to mind when someone says "best villain" is Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men. The character is brilliant! He's frightening, smart, merciless, and a powerful antagonist in the truest sense of the word.
