80's body horror in general is so fun to watch. The amount of labor & resources required to pull off those effects these days simply isn't worth it when CGI is the alternative.

Hey Arnold is a pretty good one. I don’t see it get talked about much in these conversations. It’s a period piece, has a bit of magical realism at times, the characters are very endearing. Just ignore the OVA and the 2002 film, they’re trash!
