The Sewers in REmake 2. Imo they were tedious and went on too long, Remake 3 did this one better. It's the one thing that didn't translate so well from original RE2

Remember Dante's Inferno? I'm only somewhat ashamed to have enjoyed it.

But towards the end, I forget which circle of hell specifically, the game just visibly ran out. Like turning in homework with a couple missing paragraphs. Instead of the themed level designs, the game made you go through the same arena room several times with different combat challenges. The game wasn't great, but that bit was just plain bad.

I know they break up the regular gameplay sections but man do I hate the escort sections in RE4. Escort missions are annoying generally though, not sure how you make them work right.

I think the beginning of Link to the Past did it right. By making it function no differently than anything else... escort missions are dumb.

RC plane/vehicle missions in the PS2/Xbox GTA trilogy of games... I always think about replaying those games, but those missions used to drive me nuts.
Dude, that one in GTA3 where you drive a Patriot(?) thru hills collecting dots... One of the most infamous GTA side-missions ever.

Dante's inferno is a really solid games with incredible atmosphere. Some devs from GoW II helped make it, along with Visceral proper, so it's got a pedigree. It's on the short list of PS3 games I wish had a next gen HD remaster (along with Sec Ops the Line) and I guess Dead Space as I say it out loud. Anyway, the section youre talking about is fraud and I agree, they really started to lose steam towards the second half. I remember before the game came out and the dev interviews said Fraud would be a series of challenge arenas, people thought they were lying and that it couldn't be that bad, and that it was a Fraud marketing ploy. Wishful thinking I guess.

As for me, I despise all combo trials / challenges in all fighting games. It's not like they teach you anything valuable, as they can never be pulled off in any actual real life scenario and just serve to annoy esp when tied to trophies.

I don't remember this part. Was it worse than the "stealth" mini game in Dirge of Cerberus?
Never played that one. Basically, you're trying to sneak into this facility but you can't alert the roving guards. The major problem being that you can't move the camera to see the guards so you just get caught but you'll never know why.

They should re-release Crisis Core so I can play it again because I know I made it a good ways through the game but all I really recall is Zack being great, all the new characters being kinda dumb (Gakt lol) and a slot machine.

But it sounds better than the stealth section in Dirge of Cerberus because at least you don't have to play as Cait Sith.
