    What are you playing?

Been playing some of that there Final Fantasy X... It aged surprisingly well, all things considered! I'm having a grand old time. Hopefully, Square Enix gives traditional turn-based gameplay a chance in the future -- while I loved FF7 Remake, there's room for both styles.

[Game Jam] Announcing the Flaming Hot Jam!

It's an opportunity to learn ;) And it's possible to think outside the box too. Someone we know was interested in possibly making a board game.

[Game Jam] Announcing the Flaming Hot Jam!

This is a follow-up to my recent poll, since I got promising results there! I have created a game jam on itch.io, planned between June 21 and August 21. The goal is to, as a team of the size of your choice, finish and submit a game during this time period. BUT! It must follow a theme that will...

[Poll] Would a summer game jam interest people?

Wow... that's wack. First I've heard of paid game jam games to begin with.

[Poll] Would a summer game jam interest people?

While that sounds absurdly cool, I'm not sure how we could submit a board game on itch.io, which I was thinking of using to regroup all entries :( Maybe we could keep a spreadsheet on the side for non-video games?

[Poll] Would a summer game jam interest people?

Maybe it'd be interesting if I made a blog beforehand talking about a few tools I find useful? DeScruff's also got mad Game Maker experience.

I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you so much :)

[Poll] Would a summer game jam interest people?

Yeah, that's totally fair! It's looking likely that it would be a summer-long thing, which could be fun to follow with dev updates and what not :)

    What are you playing?

Almost finished Super Mario 64! The unfortunate reality of this game is that its two least interesting levels are at the very end -- Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Cruise. In a very non-linear game, ending with two very linear levels that have you repeating the same actions over and over is a...

[Poll] Would a summer game jam interest people?

It's easier than you think contributing without any precious experience! Ludum Dare was my first game-making experience -- it helps to have someone in your team who's gone through the song and dance before, though.

[Poll] Would a summer game jam interest people?

While everyone's stuck at home, I figured it could be fun to make a Destructoid game jam! Just putting a poll in here to see who'd be interested in participating in one. What is a game jam? It's a contest where teams challenge themselves to make the best video game they can in a limited amount...

I'm interested to learn more about that Mario 3 hack. What's its name, what is it like?
